On March 25th, ACLC - WIM Chicago, honored four outstanding Clergy, and community ministers: Pastor Gwendolyn L. Appleberry (God’s Gifts Ministries), Min. Lucretia Arna (Calvary Baptist Church of Chicago), Rev. Helen R. Cooper (Westside Center of Truth), and Min. Belinda Martin (Chance Ministries). 

Chicago has produced many remarkable women who have made a significant impact on society, inspiring generations with their passion and dedication to America. Recently, the American Clergy Leadership Conference Women in Ministry honored some of the most talented and inspiring women in the community, recognizing their contributions and celebrating their achievements. 

As part of a national organization that recognizes the power of women in ministry, they continue to support and encourage one another, recognizing that each person has unique gifts and talents that make them special. The Steering Committee was Rev. Hiro Sagasaki ACLC Chairman of Illinois, Rev. Mama Joy S. Ramza-Sedehi (ACLC WIM Chicago Chair) Rev. Fannie Smith (Event Advisor), Min. Patrica Fliginger (Public Relations), Dr. Bessie O’Neal Tucker (Ministerial Activity Director), Rev. Candice Gunn (Ministerial Assistant), Min. Hitomi Horibe (Financial Officer), and Dr Elaine Mizenburg. Supporters staff were Min. Sadako Maeda, Rev. Sabrina Ray, Rev. Fannie Mccullough, Min.Claudette Redic, Min.Pearl Ramsey (co-host). Entertainers were Global Girls and Gents International, Dr. Rita Pritchett.

The Problem

Globally, 58 million children of primary age were not in school in 2012. Out of that number, 65% were in Africa. And half of all African children will never see a classroom.

Solution

Since 1994 till 2021, these schools (WFWP Schools For Africa) have provided meaningful opportunities to 20,000 graduates.
